Frequently Asked Questions
Do I qualify for the referral network?
Any licensed agent can go to “inactive” status and then transfer their license into a referral network and thereby pay NO Board or MLS dues.
Can I join the referral network after I send you a client?
Absolutely. You can join before, after or during. If you are not doing 2 or more transactions a year it may make sense for you to go into referral network and just get paid for making a referral to Utah Cribs!
How do I get paid?
You get paid the exact same way you get paid with traditional commissions. We close the transaction and we mail you a referral check. Super simple!
How much will I get paid?
Typical referral fees are LARGE! They can often be 20-30% of the entire commission!
What work will I have to do?
You have to do 1 simple thing. All you have to do is send us the referral, we take care of the rest.
Can I show the client?
No, if you are in “inactive” status the state of Utah prohibits you from showing homes and acting as an active Realtor.
How many referrals can I send?
Unlimited and we pay you the same every-time!
How much does it cost to be in the network?
Going into Referral network saves you money instead of costing you money. That’s why agents transfer in.
Do I have to take my continuing education?
Yes, you still have to maintain active status with the division and to remain active, you need CE.
What information do you need about the client?
All we need is name and contact info. Any EXTRA info about what the customer wants to buy or sell would be great.
Can be a part of the transaction?
You could come to closing if you like but there is no need. Just send us the referral and when they close, you get paid!
Can I offer pricing advice on selling the home?
No, if you are in “inactive” status the state of Utah prohibits you from acting as an active Realtor.
